PredictWind Help Center

Manual Requests

These instruction are only for the Satellite Communicator, and should NOT be used by Iridium GO customers

In addition to the Automatic Weather Routing updates, you can manually email the PredictWind server. This is useful for the following reasons:

  • To receive a GRIB file
  • To receive a Departure Plan
  • To turn on, or turn off the automatic weather routing requests
  • If you have deviated from the the optimum route suggested by the routing and you want to change the destination waypoint of the weather route
  • You want to adjust the comfort settings of the weather route, if optimizing the route for comfort
